What is Branding?.

What is Branding? Explained.

What is Branding?

How Branding can help your business grow.

'You need some Branding' - something every business owner will hear at some point. Branding? I already have a brand - and I actually made my own logo when I started it.
What is Branding anyway and how can Branding pave the road to success? - Well, let's get into it.

The truth is, like many other things explaining Branding on the spot is quite challenging. It's not because no one knows what Branding actually is, it's because Branding is so much. Branding is the essence of your brand. Branding is how you want our brand to be seen. Branding is communicating your values without words. Branding is what people think of your brand and how they see it. Branding is like the soul to your business.
Now, that's a lot. How can I communicate all this without words?
- That's what we're here for. But you're right. It's not something that happens once, it is something that needs constant effort and work. Just like keeping up your business, you will need to keep up your Branding.

Brand: Is not logo, not what it looks like when I look at your product. A Brand is a shortcut, it’s a shortcut for all the expectations I have for what you’re about to do for me. It’s a shortcut for trust, for promises, for conversations.

- Seth Godin

Ok, I think I got that. But wait now, what is Branding exactly?

What is Branding? Is it a Brand?

We've heard it so much now, the words 'Branding' and 'Brand' have seperated from the verb they stem from: 'to be branded'. With this in mind, Brand and Branding both losely mean being visually and instantly recognisable as 'something'. This is where you fill in your brand values. You are a sustainable brand determined to reduce waste and pollution? Your values are fairness, inclusivity, sustainability and mindfulness? Now, THAT'S your brand!
Essentially, Branding yourself properly will communicate your values to the customer, build a conncetion and trust - all while you are at the steering wheel. Good Branding is based on the decision on how you want to be seen and it will turn into how you will be seen.

“Products are made in the factory, but brands are created in the mind.”
– Walter Landor

Especially if you are a small business or start up, investing in your Branding really can make the difference. Good Branding will make you look put together, professional, established and much bigger and stronger than you are. This is your shortcut to running a sucessful business!
